Distinguished Invited Lecture on “With and beyond Sociology and Indian Knowledge System”: The School of Tribal Legal Studies and Tribal Rights (STLSTR), and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) KISS-DU jointly organized a Distinguished Invited Lecture on “With and Beyond Sociology and Indian Knowledge System” on 10th July 2024. ICPR Sponsored Distinguished Invited Lecture held at KISS-DU on Yoga Philosophy and Practice: The Philosophy Programme, School of Tribal Culture, Philosophy and Eco Spiritualism (STCPE) organised an Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR), New Delhi sponsored Distinguished Invited Lecture on International Yoga Day on 23rd July 2024. Distinguished Lecture on Indian Knowledge Systems and NEP 2020 and 2023 https://university.kiss.ac.in/posts/kiss-du-hosts-distinguished-lecture-on-indian-knowledge-systems-and-nep-2020-2023/ KISS Deemed to be University (KISS-DU), Bhubaneswar, hosted a thought-provoking lecture titled “NEP 2020 and 2023: Indian Knowledge Systems and Shaping Future Leaders” on September 20, 2024. The lecture was organized by the School of Tribal Culture, Philosophy, and Eco-spiritualism (STCPE) in collaboration with the Center for Indigenous Cultural Heritage and Diversity. The event highlighted the National Education Policy’s role in integrating Indian knowledge systems and fostering future leaders. Two notable personalities graced the event: Mr. Timothy Breck Boyd, International President of the Theosophical Society, and Dr. V. Ramanathan, a distinguished professor from IIT (BHU), Varanasi.

   The KISS Deemed to be University (KISS-DU) hosted a distinguished invited lecture titled “Predicting Protein Structures Using Machine Learning: The 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry”, presented by Dr. Budheswar Dehury, Assistant Professor in the Department of Bioinformatics, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). This event was organized by the Centre for Indigenous Science and Technology (CIST) and the School of Comparative Indic Studies and Tribal Science (SCISTS) on 6th November 2024.

    A Distinguished Invited Lecture was Jointly Organised by Department of Chemistry, School of Indigenous Knowledge, Science and Technology (SIKST), Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Centre for Indigenous Science and Technology (CIST), KISS-DU in collaboration with Department of Chemistry, Centre for Development and Innovation CCNY, City University of New York, USA on “Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectroscopy: For the Study of Natural Products and Soft Organic Materials” on 7th November 2024. This event was organized as a part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between KISS Deemed to be University and Center for Development and Innovation, CCNY, City University of New York, USA. Prof. (Dr.) Padmanava Pradhan, Department of Chemistry, Centre for Development and Innovation CCNY, City University of New York, USA was the distinguished invited speaker.

International Distinguished Invited Lecture on Suicide Prevention and Special Session on Writing Projects and Grants Applications https://university.kiss.ac.in/posts/international-distinguished-invited-lecture-on-suicide-prevention-and-special-session-on-writing-projects-and-grants-applications-held-at-kiss-du/ Professor Robin Edward Gearing from the University of Houston delivered a distinguished invited lecture on “Informing suicide Prevention Pathways: Targeting ideation and Behaviour” on 7th November 2024. This lecture was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell and School of Tribal Culture, Philosophy and Eco-spiritualism, in collaboration with Centre for Indigenous Cultural Heritage and Diversity and KISS Wellness Centre.

The event was jointly organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), the Center for Indigenous Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE), and the School of Tribal Resource Management (STRM), KISS-DU. Dr. Hemant Merchant, Professor of Global Business, University of South Florida (USF) was invited as the esteemed speaker.

This lecture was jointly organized by the Centre for Sacred Groves and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), KISS-DU in collaboration with the School of Tribal Heritage and Tribal Indology, KISS-DU. The event highlighted the expanding horizons of Library and Information Science with suitable and comprehensive interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary citations.
