Binayak Bhatra, a research scholar from Nabarangpur district, has completed his Ph.D. on the topic ‘Human Development of Bhatra Tribe in Nabarangpur’ under the supervision of Dr. Parikshita Khatua, Assistant Professor at the School of Tribal Resource Management, KISS Deemed to be University.

Dr. Bhatra began his educational journey at KISS, joining the +3 Arts (Economics) program in 2013. He later pursued an M.A. in Economics at KIIT Deemed to be University in 2018. Following his master’s degree, he enrolled in the Ph.D. program at KISS Deemed to be University. In 2019, he secured a lectureship in Economics through the State Selection Board (SSB).

Dr. Bhatra’s research focused on healthcare facilities, educational disparities, and economic conditions within the Bhatra Tribe in Nabarangpur, examining these aspects through the Human Development Index (HDI) lens.
