#KISS Deemed to be University, in collaboration with the Centre for Youth and Social Development (CYSD), is proud to host a seven-day Faculty Development Programme on ‘Adivasi Governance’ from April 25th to May 1st, 2024. This initiative brings together faculty members from KISS-DU and CYSD to deepen their understanding and engagement with tribal communities. The programme was inaugurated by Prof. Deepak Kumar Behera, Vice Chancellor of KISS-DU, who emphasized the importance of future collaborative efforts in community engagement. Shri Jagadananda, Co-Founder and Mentor of CYSD, highlighted the need for empathy-building exercises with indigenous communities. The sessions are set to cover crucial topics such as the journey of Adivasi struggles for identity and constitutional safeguards for tribals, aiming to enhance the participants’ skills in effectively addressing the unique governance challenges faced by these communities.
