Ms. Raimat Hansda, a research scholar at the Department of Education, School of Tribal Heritage and Tribal Indology (STHTI), KISS-DU brought laurels for the University by being the first News Anchor in Santhali at the Doordarshan Kendra. Her name has been empanelled in the category of News Reader in Santhali Samachar, Regional News Unit, Doordarshan Kendra.
Ms. Hansda joined Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences in the year 2017 to study Post Graduation and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at KISS-DU under the guidance of Dr. Swapnashri Patnaik. With dreams in her heart and hope in her eyes, she came to Bhubaneswar from her village Kumbhirda Barudi in Mayurbhanj after completing her primary education in village, and rest of the education in Jajpur. She is the proud recipient of Silver Medal for bagging the second position in University Examinations.
In a personal conversation with Ms. Hansda, she expresses her gratitude to KISS-DU for providing holistic quality education. She is thankful to the senior functionaries of the University, Core Committee members, faculty members are contributing to her success.
