Ms. Dumuni Marndi (P.G 2nd Year Arts) and Mr. Makaranda Pradhan (P.G 2nd Year Commerce), KISS Deemed to be University have been selected in the Indian University Team to participate in the FISU World University Rugby 7s Championship 2024 at Aix-en-Provence, France from 10th to 12th June 2024.
The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) had conducted the selection trials of Indian Universities Rugby (Womens’ and Mens’) Teams at KIIT Deemed to be University from 18th to 22nd April 2024 and the Coaching Camp was held at KIIT premises from 30th May to 6th June 2024. In another significant achievement, Mr. Rudrakesh Jena, Deputy Director, Sports, KISS-DU has been selected as Team Coach of Indian University Team.
Professor Achyuta Samanta, Founder KISS and KIIT and other senior functionaries of the University congratulated all the players and officials on being part of the Indian University Rugby Team and wished them good luck in their future endeavours.
