The 21CC Education and GIZ jointly organized the “Ready for Online Freelancing” Train-the-Trainer Workshop at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Deemed to be University on 12th and 13th August 2024. This two-day event aimed to equip trainers with essential skills and knowledge to guide aspiring freelancers in navigating the digital labor market.
The workshop featured expert-led sessions by Ms. Kriti Talwar, Head of Content, and Mr. Nikhil Karkal, Project Manager at 21CC Education. Additionally, seasoned digital marketer Mayank Kumar and Pooja Gianchandani, Advisor on Gig Economy at GIZ HQ, conducted special sessions.
On Day 1, participants were introduced to the concept of online freelancing, its benefits, and challenges. They learned about setting up a freelancing career, platform selection, and profile creation. Case studies and discussions on the GIZ-led learning platform, atingi, were also part of the agenda.
Day 2 featured insights from Mayank Kumar, who shared successful strategies for leveraging digital platforms. Nikhil Karkal discussed creating and maintaining standout freelancing profiles. The workshop emphasized the importance of fair working conditions for maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
The workshop is expected to positively impact the future of online freelancing education for KISS-DU students. Dr. Mamata Garanayak, Dr. Nabin Kumar Khara, Mr. Deepak Kumar Baral, Mr. Dipti Ranjan Behera, Mr. Rudrashree Narayan Sasmal, Ms. Nilima Samanta and Mr. Atul Nag attended the training programme and represented KISS-DU.
