Students of KISS-DU brought laurels for the university by bagging prizes at the 37th Inter University East Zone Youth Festival held at Berhampur University, Banja Vihar, Berhampur, Odisha, under the aegis of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) from 16th to 20th February 2024. The festival was hosted by Berhampur University and was attended by 16 universities, showcasing their talents in various events.

Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Deemed to be University participated in the event with a contingent of 23 students and 2 contingent in-charges. The students participated in more than 12 events. The students of KISS Deemed to be University added feather to its cap and bagged four prizes in various events. Jogendra Majhi won the 2nd prize in the clay modeling event, Tunita Jamunda won the 4th prize in the Mehendi event, and the contingent won the 3rd prize in the cultural procession event and the 4th prize in the folk orchestra in their regional costumes and presented rich indigenous cultural heritage and traditions. The festival aimed to promote human development, personality development, and creativity among the students. It also aimed to promote national integration and community engagement.
