NSS Bureau of KISS Deemed to be University organised an Awareness Programme under “Mera Pehla Vote – Desh Ke Liye” campaign by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India from 5th March 2024 to 8th March 2024. Students and Volunteers of NSS had participated in different activities, competitions, rallies and awareness lectures organised by NSS Bureau, KISS-DU.
NSS Programme Officers organised the said activities in the presence of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor and Registrar, KISS-DU.
Mr. Manoranjan Mohapatra, Coordinating Programme Officer coordinated the Programmes with the support of other NSS programme Officers. Ms. Maitree Padhi, Ms Saismita Swain, Dr. Parikhita Khatua, and Dr. Amulya Ratna Nanda, Ex-Coordinator NSS, graced the occasion. They addressed the students and stressed on the fact that Vote is our Democratic rights. The idea of voting awareness is to help the volunteers to understand the importance of voting and spread awareness regarding the importance of voting and bringing in growth and development in the community.
Voting gives us a voice and an opportunity to participate in the democratic process.
Mr. Amar Pradhan, NSS Volunteer, lead the team to take the Voter’s Pledge among the volunteers. Awareness rally, debate competition, Quiz competitions and Audio-visual screening for volunteers were also organised.
Students and Volunteers were encouraged to participate in different activities under the campaign.
