The International Women’s Day (IWD) was centrally celebrated by the K3 Ladies Club (KIIT/KISS/KIMS) of KIIT Group of Institutions and KISS on 8th March 2024 with the theme ‘Invest in Women : Accelerate Progress’. The event was graced by the senior leadership of the organization who spoke on various aspects of the theme.
KISS-DU with an endeavor to achieve SDG Agenda 2023 stressing on goal number – 5 Gender Equality, observed IWD and the AURORA Centre and AURORA Club joined hands with the institution to celebrate International Women’s Day. On the occasion, the AURORA team members prepared posters on the various themes and participated in dialogues around gender with respect to equity, equality and parity. During the deliberations, they also touched upon one of the three modules (Inclusive Education and Gender Equality) which has been developed under the AURORA Project. The staff members performed dance in form of enactment creating awareness on various issues related to women empowerment. The discussion revolved around the UN’s theme of achieving gender equality and women’s well-being in all aspects of life is more crucial for creating prosperity economies and healthy planet.
