A seminar for the observation of ‘National Income Tax Day’ was organised by the School of Tribal Resource Management on 24th July 2023. The meeting was attended by 80 Under Graduate 5th semester students, where the resource person for the occasion was Prof. Rabindra Nath Swain, Professor in the Commerce Programme, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences. The critical theme covered during the session was the importance of Income tax in India. The contents of Form-16 and online tax filing were also presented to the students by Prof. Swain. Other processes like E-verification and refund features of Income tax were highlighted and discussed with the students. The seminar was an interactive awareness session in which students participated and cleared their doubts about the topics.
