The NSS Bureau of KISS Deemed to be University organized a Plantation Drive on 1st May 2022. The NSS Wing of KISS-DU believes that tree planting is one of the most accessible and affordable answers to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
A large number of NSS volunteers participated in the plantation drive. Professor Deepak Kumar Behera, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, KISS-DU, Dr. Iswar Chandra Naik, Chairperson Council of Deans, KISS-DU, Dr. Amulya Ratna Nanda, Programme Coordinator, Dr. Kamal Mohanty Assistant Programme Coordinator, and many Programme Officers – Dr. Pramodini Jena, Dr. Babita Das, Ms. Saswati Jena, Ms. Saismita Swain, Mr. Manoranjan Mohapatra, Ms. Maitri Padhi, Sangeeta Parida, Dr. Trailokya Nath Parida, Mr. Haraprasad Mohapatra, and Dr. Parikshita Khatua participated in the programme.
In his motivational speech, Professor Deepak Kumar Behera, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, suggested that more number of such activities should beorganized on a regular basis to make the NSS wing more dynamic and vibrant. Dr. Iswar Chandra Naik, Chairperson Council, of Deans also spoke on the occasion to inspire the volunteers.
