An in-person 20-ay (40 hours) employability skills training programme for 260 female post-graduate final year students was conducted by Mahindra Pride Classroom (MPC) at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Deemed to be University from 16th August 2022 to 8th September 2022 . Mahindra Pride Classroom is a flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Livelihood programme of the Mahindra and Mahindra group and is fully implemented by Naandi Foundation.
The interactive training program was conducted in 6 batches of 40 students each by two expert trainers – Mr. Sanjay Kumar Mishra and Dr. Sambhu Dutta Swain, covering topics related to Life Skills – compassion; respect; gratitude; and being a responsible global citizen whereas Soft Skills included key areas like – grooming; body language; teamwork; time management; social manners; Communication Skills comprised – functional English and the ability to express clearly in the local language. Under Presentation Skills: speaking clearly; coherently and confidently and in Interview Skills – resume preparation; interview questions; and mock interviews were covered.
The program ended by an award distribution ceremony held at KISS Campus-3 where 7 students from each batch were awarded various prizes, medals and trophies based on their performances in the program. The prizes were awarded by Professor Deepak Kumar Behera, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. Prashanta Kumar Routray Registrar and Dr. Kanhu Charan Mahali, Director General KISS-DU.
