IIC Members of KISS-DU attend the Eastern Region – Zone Orientation-cum-Question and Answer Session organized by the MoE’s Innovation Council, Government of India

The committee members of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) attended the Orientation-cum-Question and Answer Session on 19^th January 2023 organized by the Ministry of Education, Innovation Council (MoE’s IIC), Government of India to gain clarity related to IIC 5.0 for the current academic year. This is a native-wide drive to brief about the recent improvisation in the user interface and new features of the IIC 5.0. The IIC members of the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Deemed to be University attended the session, as per the directives of the MoE’s IC. All the IIC members of KISS-DU attended the event in a blended-mode.

Mr. Udyan Maurya, ERO and NRO Zonal In-charge, MoE’s, IC presented set the tone of the session and said that MoE’s IC desires to create a consortium that would contribute to the institutionalization of the IIC. He expressed his satisfaction regarding the rise in active participation in IIC and the increase in the number of IIC members. He highlighted the details of the various tabs in the IIC portal. He stressed updating the minutes of the quarterly Council Meetings. Mr. Maurya shared the calendar and discussed the details of the weightage of the activities. Further, he motivated the participants by sharing the point distribution and discussed the various ways by which an IIC can increase their ratings. He strongly suggested the IICs formulate policies on Institute’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Policy following the 10 steps mentioned on the website, and to achieve the same a committee is to be formed to formulate the policy and submit the approved I &E Policy. Following the submission of the approved policy the IIC has to follow the 9-step implementation as mentioned in the portal. Innovation Ambassador Training Programme shall be organized for the faculty members, a maximum of 10 members can be nominated for the same. Mr Maurya also discussed the YUKTI platform in detail.
