The Mathematics Programme, School of Indigenous Knowledge Science and Technology, KISS Deemed to be University, celebrated National Mathematics Day on 22nd December 2023 by organizing a distinguished invited lecture in collaboration with P.G Department of Mathematics Gangadhar Meher University, Sambalpur by Dr. Ashrita Patra, Assistant Professor P.G Department of Mathematics Gangadhar Meher University, Sambalpur Odisha.

Professor Deepak Kumar Behera, Vice Chancellor, KISS-DU delivered the Welcome Address and spoke about the significance of observing Mathematics Day. Dr. Sushanta Mohapatra, Assistant Professor, Mathematics Programme presented a brief profile of the resource person. The distinguished invited speaker touched upon differential equation, different transforms, Laplace transform and Elzaki transform spoke at length about how to address problems related to Covid-19 by using non-linear differential equation.
Dr. Yasobanta Das, Dean, School of Indigenous Knowledge Science and Technology, KISS-DU proposed a Vote of Thanks to the invited speaker, senior functionaries of KISS-DU and those contributed in making the event a success.
