The KISS-DU AURORA Club celebrated International Day of World Indigenous People on 9th August 2023. A student seminar was organized on the theme “Indigenous Education: Promoting Inclusivity and Cultural Sensitivity in Learning Environments.” Addressing the students of AURORA Club, the Vice Chancellor of KISS-DU talked about bringing curricula reforms to promote diversity. The scope and horizon has been expanding with the fusion of inclusive education to achieve educational goals of the indigenous youth, he added. Developing tailor-made educational packages with culturally and linguistically appropriate components is much-needed, he stressed. The students also shared their experiences by sharing their educational requirements and some of the challenges faced by their communities.
