International Youth Campaign on Kindness for the SDGs:

KISS & KIIT University have been actively participating in the International Youth Campaign on Kindness for the SDGs, launched by UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) on the occasion of the International Day of Non-Violence on October 2, 2018. This unique campaign is intended to mobilize global youth to achieve the United Nations’ SDGs by calling for and celebrating stories of extraordinary, transformative Acts of Kindness committed by youth and by showcasing their contributions towards the achievement of the SDGs.

At KISS, this took many forms: from educational sessions on the SDGs for more than 10,000 young learners, flagging off the “Swachhata: Cleanliness Awareness Vehicle”, for a week-long, city-wide tour promoting messages of cleanliness and sanitation, mass student-led clean ups of Shikharchandi Hill (tourist spot) and Bhubaneswar Central Bus Station, to social media engagement with the Yes Peace Network and Stories of Kindness.
