As a part of the MoU between KISS Deemed to be University and Rama Devi Women’s University (RDWU), the School of Tribal Resource Management, KISS-DU organized a seminar on the topic ‘Financial Literacy: The Savvy to Succeed Financially’ recently. Addressing the seminar virtually, Professor Aparajita Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor, RDWU outlined the benefits of collaboration between the two institutions. Professor Deepak Kumar Behera, Vice-Chancellor, KISS-DU underlined the importance of financial literacy as a tool for departments and disciplines and not just Commerce.

The chief speaker, Dr. Sabat Kumar Digal, Associate Professor & HoD (Commerce), RDWU spoke about the major transitions of this decade, explaining how the new age companies have occupied a key place in today’s market. He advocated investing finances rather than keeping money parked in bank accounts to gain financial freedom. Stating that AtmaNirbhar Bharat is the solution to many problems, he summed up ten golden rules to manage and sensitize the students to become financially literate, for a new and better India.

Dr. Snigdharani Panda, Dean, School of Tribal Resource Management, KISS also spoke. Professor R.N. Swain proposed a vote of thanks. The seminar was moderated by Dr. Liji Panda.
