The Research and Development Cell, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), the School of Tribal Culture, Philosophy and Eco-Spiritualism, the Centre for Indigenous Cultural Heritage and Diversity and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, successfully organized a Distinguished Lecture on “Promotion of Deep-Tech Based Research and Innovation” on 20th July 2026 at 2:30 PM in LT- 301, KISS Campus-4.
The programme commenced with an introduction by Mr. Kailash Pradhan, who highlighted the objectives and significance of the distinguished lecture. This was followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Dr. Arpana Premi Lina Oraon, Director, Research, KISS-DU who warmly welcomed the resource person, and research scholars. Dr. Anirban Bandyopadhyay, Dean, School of Tribal Culture, Philosophy and Eco-Spiritualism, delivered the keynote lecture, presenting valuable insights into the significance of deep technologies, their applications across various domains and their potential to revolutionize scientific research and innovation.
The lecture inspired participants to explore emerging technological frontiers and emphasized the importance of integrating advanced technologies with interdisciplinary research for sustainable societal development. The session concluded with an engaging Interactive Question and Answer Session, during which participants actively interacted with the resource person and sought clarification on various aspects of deep-tech research, innovation and future opportunities. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. Abinas Kiro, who expressed sincere gratitude to the resource person, organizers and all the participants for their valuable contributions and active participation, making the distinguished lecture a grand success.
