The Research and Development Cell, IIC and the School of Comparative Tribal Languages and Literatures (SCTLL), KISS Deemed to be University, successfully jointly organized a conference on “Innovation to Commercialization Boot Camps” on 18th July 2026 with the objective of creating awareness among research scholars about innovation, entrepreneurship, and the commercialization of research ideas. The conference aimed to encourage participants to transform innovative concepts into practical solutions and commercially viable products, thereby strengthening the link between academic research and industry.
The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of more than forty research scholars, who actively engaged in the discussions and interactions throughout the event.
Inaugural Session
The conference commenced with Ms. Adlina Ruby Tirkey, Research Scholar welcoming the dignitaries, faculty members, research scholars, and participants.
The formal welcome address and introduction to the conference theme were delivered by Dr. Arpana Premi Lina Oraon, Director, R&DC, KISS-DU. She highlighted the growing importance of innovation-driven research and emphasized the need to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and its practical application through commercialization. She also extended a warm welcome to the distinguished resource person, faculty members, and participants.
Technical Session
The keynote session was delivered by Dr. Parikshita Khatua, Assistant Professor, who served as the resource person for the conference. His presentation on “Innovation to Commercialization Boot Camps” provided valuable insights into the journey of transforming innovative ideas into successful products, services, and entrepreneurial ventures.
Dr. Khatua explained the importance of identifying real-world problems and developing innovative solutions through systematic research and creative thinking. He emphasized that higher education institutions play a vital role in fostering innovation by encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration, entrepreneurship, and industry partnerships.
