The School of Tribal Resource Management in collaboration with the Centre for Indigenous Incubation and Entrepreneurship, KISS-DU organized a students’ seminar to mark the National Start-Up Day on 16th January 2023. The 47 Post Graduate students of School of Tribal Resource Management, 42 committee members of the Institution Innovation Council, and 38 facullty members of KISS-DU attended the event on the theme ‘Founders of Today, Leaders of Tomorrow’.

The seminar was graced by Head of Commerce Programme, Professor Rabindra Nath Swain and other faculty members. The Seminar topic was presented by six M.Com. students namely Lily Beshara ,who gave insights on the origin of the Start-up concept. Mahla Tudu explained the various schemes under Start-up India. Lata Mundamajhi delivered in-depth information on Make in India Scheme and Start-up ecosystem in India. Speaking in turn, Sasmita Singh discussed about some successful case studies under Start-up India. Hemlata Naik and Ujola Thaosen presented insights on the importance of Start-up India for each segment of society and also portrayed the long-term benefits of this scheme in future. The thrust area of the seminar was women entrepreneurs and start-up enterprises. In an initiative to inspire budding entrepreneurs’ videos of some of the success stories were also played.

The presentation session was followed by suggestions and feedback form the faculty and students.
