Amita Tudu belongs to a humble family from Tilakpal Village in the Suliapada block of Mayurbhanj district, Odisha, a region nestled in dense forests along the Odisha-West Bengal border. She was born into a very poor farming family. She has three siblings, so they are four children in total and it was very difficult for her father, Mr. Sitaram Tudu, to support all of them with his seasonal paddy crop. Her mother, Mrs. Duli Tudu, has been constant source of strength.

Later, when she came to know about KISS, she got the opportunity to join. KISS is the best global education platform for children and real support system for poor and helpless children, through which they can build their future. Coming from such background, the opportunity to pursue education at KISS Deemed to be University was nothing short of blessing for her, as without the support of KISS, she could not have dreamt of pursuing higher education.

Her journey at KISS began in 2012 with +2 1st Year – Commerce (2012-2014), followed by Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) degree (2014-2017) and Master of Commerce (M. Com) degree (2017-2019). In 2020, she was admitted to the Ph.D. program in the Department of Commerce. In 2026, she successfully defended her Ph.D. Viva-Voce. The constant guidance, insightful feedback, and unwavering support of her supervisor Dr. Liji Panda Ma’am played a pivotal role in refining her research skills and enabling her to complete her doctoral journey successfully.

During her academic journey, she was also honoured with the NFST Fellowship in 2021 and she qualified UGC-NET in Commerce. These achievements gave her confidence and motivation to continue her research with dedication.

His vision, ‘Education is the Third Eye of the Child’ and ‘Eradicating Hunger through Education’, has transformed the lives of lakhs of tribal children, including myself. Sir’s belief has given us vision, dignity and identity.

My journey stands as a testament to the transformative power of education and compassion, shaping lives and inspiring hope for generations to come.”
