Have women’s mentoring schemes, in which at least 10% of female students participate.

KISS-DU offers dedicated women’s mentoring schemes to support the academic and personal growth of female students. These programs are designed to provide guidance, encouragement, and professional development to Indigenous women from the most marginalized and backward areas.

  • The mentoring schemes pair female students with experienced mentors—often senior faculty members, senior staff members and senior students who provide personalized advice, career guidance, and emotional support. This helps women navigate their academic journey, overcome challenges, and build confidence in their abilities. Mentors also play a key role in helping students with career planning, skill development, and networking opportunities.
  • At KISS-DU, the participation rate for female students in these mentoring schemes is a key priority, and all the students have to actively engage in these programs. By ensuring that a significant proportion of female students benefit from mentoring, KISS-DU helps foster a supportive, empowering environment that encourages women to excel academically and professionally.
