Sustainable Development Goals @ KISS-DU

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 2030 is a global framework adopted by the United Nations in 2015 to address global challenges such as poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, and justice. It is guided by principles of universality, inclusivity, and interconnectedness, aiming for collective action across all nations and sectors. Universities play a crucial role in fostering innovation, research, and knowledge dissemination, empowering future generations to contribute meaningfully to the world’s transformation. The Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development is based on core principles, including universality, integration, partnerships, accountability, and transparency. These principles shape the agenda’s vision of a just and sustainable future for all. The goals include no poverty, zero hunger, good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, industry, innovation, and infrastructure, reduced inequalities, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, climate action, life below water, life on land, peace, justice, and strong institutions, and partnerships for the goals.
