The Department of Hindi, School of Comparative Tribal Languages and Literatures, KISS-DU organized a seminar on “Women Empowerment Pathways to Inclusive Progress” on 16th April 2025. Dr. Pragyan Mohanty, Dean, School of Tribal Legal Studies and Tribal Rights, KISS-DU was invited as the chief guest of the event.
The student-deliberations revolved around thematic areas of women empowerment, poetry recital and paper presentations by UG and PG students. This was followed by the address of the chief speaker Dr. Pragyan Mohanty who explained the meaning and definition of women empowerment and how the same is being translated in various real-life situations spanning from household work to offices. She then related the topic with the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations and how is India contributing in attaining Agenda 2030. The chief guest was earlier introduced by Dr. Jasmine Patnaik, Department of Hinda, SCTLL. Her talk was followed by presentations by faculty members who shared their viewpoints on the topic.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks to all those who contributed in the making the programme a success.
