The students of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) prayed and offered lamps wishing speedy recovery of the twins ‘Jaga and Balia’ on the institute’s premises today.
Meanwhile, the conjoined twins namely Jaga and Balia, were separated by a marathon surgery at the AIIMS, New Delhi on Wednesday. During the 20-hour surgery, a team of doctors, including 20 specialists and a Japanese expert, performed the surgery to separate their veins.
In fact, the 27 month old twins hailing from a poor family in the Milipada village of Phiringia block in tribal-dominated Kandhamal district, were admitted in AIIMS on 13th July, 2017.
