The School of Comparative Indic Studies and Tribal Science, KISS-DU, in collaboration with the Centre for the Product Development of Underutilized Wild Edible Plants, organized a vibrant celebration to mark National Nutrition Month on 25th September 2025. The celebration, themed “Eat Right for a Better Life” provided a platform for students, faculty members, and guests to engage in discussions and activities emphasizing balanced nutrition, sustainable food practices, and the importance of indigenous dietary resources.
Dr. Vimal Kumar Pandey, Dean of CISTS graced the occasion and highlighted the role of scientific knowledge and indigenous wisdom in promoting nutritional well-being among communities. Three faculty members of the department also participated, contributing insights on innovative approaches to food science and nutrition research.
The event concluded with student presentations and interactive sessions that showcased creative interpretations of the National Nutrition Month theme. The celebration successfully fostered awareness about healthy eating habits and the significance of utilizing wild and underutilized edible plants in modern diets.
