The School of Tribal Legal Studies and Tribal Rights (STLS&TLR), KISS Deemed to be University’s research scholar Sabitri Munda, belongs to Ho tribe and hails from Kendhujhar District in Odisha is the first research scholar from STLS&TLR to have been awarded doctoral degree. Dr. Sabitri Munda completed her thesis on the title “Continuity and Change of Ho Tribe: A case study of Sociological Exploration in Kendhujhar District of Odisha” under the supervision of Dr. Krupasindhu Nayak, Assistant Professor, Sociology Programme, KISS-DU. Professor B.B Malick, Dr. B.R Ambedkar University, Lucknow was the External Examiner, Dr. Pragyan Mohanty, Associate Professor and Dean, STLS&TLR and Dr. Babita Das, Assistant Professor, STLS&TLR contributed as the RSC Members whereas Professor Jugal Kishore Mishra, Director Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), KISS-DU joined the Defense Viva-Voce as the VC Nominee.
