Paternity policy
KISS Deemed to be University (KISS-DU) has implemented the paternity leave policy, underscoring its commitment to supporting gender equality and women’s participation. Paternity policy entitles all eligible male employees 15 days of leave within six months of the birth or adoption of a child. This policy allows non-gestational parents to actively engage in childcare duties, promoting shared parenting responsibilities.
Other Measures provided:
- On-campus childcare services ensure that both parents can focus on their academic or professional responsibilities. https://shephalee.kiit.ac.in/
- Options for flexible hours or remote work arrangements, benefiting parents with childcare responsibilities.
This policy reflects KISS-DU’s recognition that both parents should share in the responsibilities of childcare, and that supporting fathers in this way plays a critical role in ensuring that women can fully participate in education and work without being burdened by unequal domestic responsibilities. By providing paternity leave and flexible work options, KISS-DU contributes to a more balanced, inclusive, and equitable environment for all staff.
