Have a maternity policy that support women’s participation.
KISS-DU has a comprehensive maternity policy designed to support women’s continued participation in education and work while balancing family responsibilities. The policy ensures that female students and staff receive the necessary support during and after pregnancy, enabling them to manage both academic or professional duties and their new roles as mothers. Maternity leave policy states that 180 days leave shall be granted to a female employee and only twice in one’s career.
The maternity policy includes provisions such as maternity leave, flexible deadlines for assignments and exams, and accommodations for breastfeeding mothers. Female students are allowed to take time off as needed and can work with faculty to adjust their academic schedules. Similarly, staff members are granted maternity leave and are supported with flexible work options to help them transition back into their roles.
This policy reflects KISS-DU’s commitment to ensuring that women can continue their academic and professional growth without the added stress of having to choose between family responsibilities and their educational or career goals. By providing these resources, KISS-DU creates a more inclusive and supportive environment for women, encouraging their full participation in university life.
