Yes, KISS DU actively initiates and participates in cross-sectoral dialogues on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through multi-stakeholder conferences, roundtables, workshops and cultural dialogues.
KISS DU regularly hosts and contributes to seminars, conferences, and workshops that foster collaboration and knowledge exchange on sustainability, education, inclusion, and culture. The University in 2024, positioned itself as a convening platform for collaboration among UN agencies, national ministries, NGOs, civil society groups and academia, aligning research, education, and community practice with the SDG framework.
- UNESCO Chairs Roundtable 18–19 March 2024: KISS hosted a regional roundtable of 16 UNESCO Chairs from India, Nepal and Sri Lanka in collaboration with UNESCO New Delhi. The dialogue addressed the role of higher education in achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, focusing on SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships). - International Seminar – “Kalinga Conversations 1: Multilingual Education – A Pillar of Learning and Inter-Generational Learning” 21 February 2024: Held on International Mother Language Day 2024, this seminar brought together educators, linguist, and NGO practitioners to highlight the importance of multilingual education in achieving equitable learning outcomes. - Kalinga Conversations 2 – “Indigenous Values in the Built Environment” – 6 November 2024: Organised under the Project K-MUSE initiative, KISS-DU collaborated with the University of Sydney, UNESCO UNITWIN Network and architectural NGOs to explore the intersection of indigenous knowledge, sustainability and urban design. - International Research Conference – The Inclusive Museum – Vienna, 13–15 September 2024: KISS’s Pro-Chancellor chaired this UNESCO-linked global dialogue, which involved representatives from 47 countries across academia, civil society, and heritage management.
The dialogue addressed cultural inclusion, decolonising museums and indigenous heritage preservation, strengthening SDG 11 and SDG 17 partnerships.

- Know India Programme – 17–22 May 2024
KISS-DU and KIIT-DU hosted a 38-member delegation of young overseas Indians from 11 countries as part of the Ministry of External Affairs’ Know India Programme (KIP).
The event served as a dialogue between diaspora youth, government officials, and academia on global citizenship and cultural diplomacy (SDG 17). - Bharatiya Bhasha Diwas – 11 December 2024
