KISS Deemed to be University (KISS-DU) provides comprehensive support services for people with disabilities to foster inclusivity and ensure equitable access to education. These services include:
- Personal assistants are assigned on a case-by-case basis to assist students with daily activities, mobility, or academic needs.
- Peer support programs where volunteers assist students with disabilities in academic and extracurricular activities.
- Assistance within the on-campus hostels for students who need help with daily living tasks.
- Trained professionals are available to facilitate communication for students with hearing impairments, particularly in classrooms and events including qualified scribes for assistance during exams.
- Provision of speech-to-text software, text-to-speech tools, and real-time captioning for lectures and seminars and Customized study materials for students with visual impairments.
- Access to technology like screen readers, magnifiers, and specialized software for learning.
- Mental health professionals trained to address the unique challenges faced by students with disabilities.
- Faculty and senior students mentor individuals to help them navigate academic and social challenges.
- Peer Support groups where students can share experiences and build a sense of community.
- University vehicles equipped to transport students with mobility challenges within the campus and for off-campus activities.
- Trained personnel to help students navigate the campus if required.
- Specialized healthcare support, including physiotherapy and regular health check-ups for students with disabilities.
