The Tribal Advisory Council and students of KISS-DU jointly organised and celebrated Mage Porob , a significant festival of the HO Indigenous community with great enthusiasm and cultural fervor. The event showcased vibrant traditional dances, songs, and rituals, reflecting the rich heritage of the Indigenous community. The celebrations began with ritual offerings and prayers to honor Sing Bonga and express gratitude for natures blessings. Through this celebration KISS-DU reaffirmed its commitment to preserving and promoting Indigenous traditions among the younger generation.
Mage Porob is an important cultural heritage, showcasing the state’s rich tribal traditions and customs. The festival promotes unity, harmony, and social bonding among the Ho community members.The festival is typically celebrated in the month of January or February, pay gratitude to the creator of human beings, coinciding with the harvest season.
