A seminar titled “Transforming Higher Education: The Role of the FYUGP in Implementing NEP 2020” was organised by NEP SAARTHIs, KISS Deemed to be University, on 9th April 2025 at 3:30 p.m. in the University Academic Building. The event aimed to raise awareness and foster dialogues around the structural and pedagogical reforms introduced by the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), with a special focus on the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP).
Dr. Ratnaprava Parija, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of English, KISS-DU, was the Resource Person for the seminar. She delivered an insightful presentation on the transformative potential of FYUGP, emphasizing its alignment with NEP 2020’s vision of flexibility, multidisciplinary, and holistic education. Her talk shed light on key areas such as curriculum restructuring, student-centric learning approaches, and academic mobility.
A total of 81 students attended the session and actively participated in the interactive discussion that followed the presentation, reflecting a strong interest in the evolving landscape of higher education.
The seminar was successfully coordinated by Dr. Sujata Acharya, Dean and NEP SAARTHIs Coordinator, KISS-DU, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the event.
The seminar concluded on a positive note, with participants expressing a deeper understanding of the FYUGP and its significance in shaping the future of higher education in India.
