The National Unity Day 2025 was observed at the Auditorium, Campus–4, KISS Deemed to be University, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. The event was organised by the NSS Bureau, KISS DU with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.
The programme commenced with a unit song presented by NSS volunteers, creating an inspiring and unifying atmosphere. NSS volunteers and students from various departments actively participated in the event, reflecting the spirit of unity and national integration.
Dr. Snigdharani Panda, Associate Professor and Director IQAC, Dr. Chittaranjan Bhoi, Associate Professor and Director HRDC, Dr, Yasobanta Das, Principal, Deans of seven Schools, Dr. Maitree Padhi NSS Programme Officer spoke about the significance of the event. They encouraged the students and volunteers to uphold the values of unity, integrity, and national service. Their motivational addresses inspired everyone to follow the ideals of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and contribute towards building a stronger and more united nation. In total 150 NSS volunteers, 7 NSS Programme Officers and 17 faculty members.
The entire programme was coordinated by Dr. Parikhsita Khatua, Programme Coordinator, NSS Bureau, KISS-DU, whose efficient guidance and planning ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the event.
The celebration concluded with the National Ekta Diwas Pledge, reaffirming the participants’ commitment to preserve the unity, integrity, and security of the nation. Dr. Saloman Behera, NSS Programme Officer, proposed a vote of thanks, extending gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty members, volunteers, and participants for their active involvement and contribution to the success of the programme.
The observance of National Unity Day 2025 at KISS-DU stood as a strong reminder of India’s strength in diversity and the continuing relevance of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s vision of a united and inclusive nation.
