Indrani Chhatria, a student of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) becomes the captain of Odisha Cricket team. This is for the first time a student from KISS got captainship of Odisha Girls’ Cricket team. Indrani will play Under-19 women T-20 Tournaments in Odisha U-19 women team. Another KISS student Sonali Hembram has also been placed in Odisha team.
In fact, Odisha team will play its first league match on 14th October against Manipur, on 15th against Tripura, on 18th against Mumbai, on 20th against Delhi, on 21st against Maharashtra and on 23rd against Arunachal Pradesh. The super league match will start on 27th October. The Final Match will be held on 4th November, 2018.
Congratulating both Indrani and Sonali, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS said,
“it is a matter of pride that, two students of KISS were placed in Odisha U-19 girls’ Cricket team, while one of them became the captain of the team”.
