KISS Hosts the Visit of Ms. Kathryn Booker –Veloz, Senior Advisor, DEIA, USAID

The Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) hosted the visit of a high level team of USAID and Jhpeigo led by Ms. Kathryn Booker – Veloz, USAID Asia DEIA, Senior Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility (DEIA) Advisor, Asia Bureau, USAID on 8^th November 2023. During her visit, she interacted with the KISS fraternity and students. In her deliberation, she gave insights into the progress achieved through the KISS-MOMENTUM Country Global Leadership Programme partnership in addressing Diversity, Equity, Access, and Inclusion and Accessibility(DEIA) focusing on the development of the most vulnerable sections of the society, which constitutes nearly one-fourth of the state’s population. She was elated to learn how KISS has been addressing diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility be it at policy level, academics and curriculum, practical areas in the form of various projects and the like for the last thirty years. Ms. Veloz appreciated the work done by KISS under the leadership and guidance of Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KISS & KIIT.
Among others, Professor Deepak Kumar Behera, Vice Chancellor, KISS-DU; Dr. Prashanta Kumar Routray, Registrar, KISS-DU and other officials of USAID and Jhpiego were present in the meeting.
