On the occasion of Jharkhand Foundation Day and Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas on 15 November 2025, a team of 16 students and 4 faculty members from Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Deemed to be University (KISS-DU), all natives of Jharkhand, were invited by the Hon’ble Governor of Odisha to participate in the state-level celebration held at Odisha Raj Bhavan, Bhubaneswar. The team was warmly received by Raj Bhavan officials, and the students presented a vibrant and traditional Santal Dance, representing the rich cultural heritage of Jharkhand. Dressed in colourful ethnic attire and performing to traditional rhythms, the students showcased the essence of tribal identity, unity, and celebration, drawing enthusiastic appreciation from the audience. The students also received certificates in recognition of their performance.

The faculty members accompanying the team ensured smooth coordination, preparation, and representation of the University throughout the event. The programme offered the students valuable exposure to a prestigious platform and strengthened their sense of cultural pride and confidence. Overall, the participation of KISS-DU in this significant celebration highlighted its continued commitment to promoting tribal culture and education, making the event a memorable and meaningful experience for everyone involved.
