KISS-DU observed International Youth Day on 12th August 2025 by initiating dialogues on the theme “Beyond Boundaries: Young Changemakers and the SDG Journey”. Ms. Carmen Perez Ramos, Administrative and Financial Project Manager, ERASMUS+ Key Action 2, Key Action 3 from the Universidad De Malaga, Spain graced the occasion as the resource person.
In her deliberation, Ms. Perez presented a comparative scenario of the youth in Spain and India. She emphasized on the seminal role played by the youth in translating and transmitting Sustainable Development Goals into local community action, driving innovation, and building inclusive and sustainable futures. Her address resonated with the year’s theme when she drew attention of the students towards the need for becoming change agents focusing on key areas related to SDGs.
Dr. Snigdharani Panda, Associate Professor and Chairperson Council of Deans, KISS-DU in her address talked about some of the initiatives adopted by KISS-DU with respect to implementation of SDGs. She also added to the inputs of Ms. Ramos in the context of role of youth in making the world a better place to live in. In this regard she stressed on the significance and importance of Viksit Bharat Youth Connect Programme which is a youth focused initiative by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports which carries the ethos of Viksit Bharat@2047 and urged the students to contribute to Developed India@2047.
Dr. Disha Bhatt, Deputy Director, IQAC, KISS-DU proposed a Vote of Thanks on the occasion.
