The Department of Hindi, School of Comparative Tribal Languages and Literatures (SCTLL), KISS-DU observed Hindi Diwas on 14th September 2024. Hindi is the language of the people. The Constitution of India adopted it and gave it the status of official language to Hindi on 14th September 1949. Hence from 1953 onwards it is celebrated as Hindi Diwas every year.
The Department of Hindi celebrated Hindi Diwas to mark the need and importance of Hindi language. On the occasion, the department organized various competitions like Essay Writing, Debate, and Drawing Competitions for both junior and senior levels.
The event began with a Welcome Address by the Dean, Dr. Chittaranjan Bhoi and graced by Dr. Rasmita Tripathy, Associate Professor and Former Dean, SCTLL, Dr. Ratnaprava Parija, Assistant Professor, English and Dr. Disha Bhatt, Assistant Professor and Deputy Director IQAC. The students performed laghu natak on various social issues and delivered speeches on the occasion.
The meeting concluded with a Vote of Thanks to one and all present.
