It is observed during the month of March, marking the new arrival of blossom of flowers and greenery in the spring season. This is a time of renewal and rejuvenation, as nature adorns itself with new leaves and flowers, symbolizing growth and vitality. The philosophy behind the observation of Baa Porob is deeply rooted in the Ho belief system. It is a time when people express gratitude to nature for its bounty and seek protection from potential dangers, such as poisonous fruits, animals and epidemics.
