A virtual meeting of Student Ambassador for Academic Reforms in Transforming Higher Education in India (NEP SAARTHIs) of North East and Eastern zone was convened by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under the chairmanship of Dr. Avichal Raj Kapoor, Joint Secretary of UGC. The meeting witnessed the participation of approximately 65 SAARTHIs from different universities of North East and eastern zone .
The primary agenda of the meeting was to discuss the participation of NEP SAARTHIs in the upcoming conference on the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) scheduled to be held at Paragjyoti University, Guwahati, on 28th June 2024.
Proceedings
Dr. Avichal Raj Kapoor commenced the meeting by warmly welcoming all the SAARTHIs. He expressed his appreciation for their continued efforts and commitment towards the implementation of the NEP.
Completion of Activities
Dr. Kapoor emphasized the importance of adhering to the planned calendar of activities. He urged all SARATHIs to ensure that the scheduled activities as per the activity calendar are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Purpose of the Conference
The chairperson provided a detailed briefing on the purpose of the upcoming conference at Paragjyoti Universiyt, Guwahati. He highlighted that the conference is a significant event aimed at discussing the progress, challenges, and strategies related to the NEP implementation. It will serve as a platform for sharing experiences, best practices, and fostering collaboration among educational institutions.
