Dr. Malaya Bhoi, Assistant Professor, Department of Philosophy, School of Tribal Culture, Philosophy and Eco Spiritualism, KISS-DU presented a research paper titled “Jain Philosophy and Interfaith Dialogue for Global Peace and Coexistence” at an international conference on Holistic Well-Being: A Jain Perspective from 31st January 2025 to 1st February 2026. The conference was organised by Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University, Vadodara, Gujarat, in collaboration with the International School of Jain Studies, Pune, and the Vardhamana Charitable Foundation, USA. Scholars and experts in the fields of Jain Philosophy, Jainology, and other allied disciplines from across the globe participated in this academic event.

The primary objective of the conference was to explore the profound wisdom of Jain philosophy and examine its contemporary relevance to physical, mental, ethical, and spiritual well-being. The conference served as a global platform for meaningful dialogue, interdisciplinary engagement, and academic exchange in the areas of Jain Philosophy and Jain Studies.

The paper received high appreciation from distinguished scholars and participants. The central focus of Dr. Bhoi’s research was Jain ethical principle Parasparopagraho Jīvānām (mutual interdependence of all beings). The paper critically demonstrated how the core values of Jain philosophy Anekāntavāda, Syādvāda, Aparigraha, and Ahimsā—provide a robust ethical framework for constructive interfaith dialogue. It further argued that these timeless principles of ancient wisdom can contribute significantly to establishing a sustainable foundation for global peace and coexistence, particularly in the context of rapid globalisation and increasing materialistic tendencies.
