India has demonstrated how it has achieve the twin goals of universal access to primary education and gender
equity through public commitment to realize the constitutional mandate of right to life through “education for all”. However, the synergy between equity and excellence for children in all categories of
population and particularly of the most deprived tribal children, remains an onerous challenge. The
experiment at KISS has revealed that through provision of wholesome food, quality education and coaching and excellent facility in sports and
extracurricular activities, the tribal children achieve dignity and economic empowerment.

As India strives forward to achieve the onerous challenges of quality and value
based education KISS Odisha holds a template for all, how to overcome the trilemma of gender equality, quality and excellence, of the socially deprived.
