Dr Snigdharani Panda expressed the need for building a sustainable and resilient future and opined that it is one of the most pressing priorities of the 21st century. Environmental degradation, climate change, economic instability, social inequalities, digital disruption, and global health crises have forced organizations and governments to rethink traditional management approaches. Today, sustainability and resilience are not just moral responsibilities but strategic necessities. While many institutions have developed comprehensive sustainability policies, the real challenge lies in ensuring that these policies are effectively implemented in daily operations. Bridging the gap between management policies and on-ground practices is therefore essential for long-term stability and growth. Parallely, we are also witnessing extraordinary innovation, scientific advancement, and a global awakening toward sustainability, inclusion, and responsible growth. In such a landscape, the question is no longer whether we need sustainable and resilient systems, but how quickly and how effectively we can build them.

Dr. Panda emphasized on the fact that one should focus on being Sustainability champions, not only strategy experts; Inclusive thinkers, not only for economic planners; Problem solvers, not just decision-makers and Stewards of the environment, not merely consumers of resources. She further added that Management Education, carries a pivotal responsibility to nurture leaders who are not only competent but also compassionate, conscious, and courageous. She concluded by appreciating both the institutions IBS Kolkata and KISS Deemed to be University for embodying values that are essential for nation-building. Dr. Panda added that KISS stands as a global example of how education and empowerment can change the destinies of entire community. IBS Kolkata continues to shape agile, ethical, and globally aware managers who will lead tomorrow’s organisations.
