On February 6, 2025, the first-semester undergraduate students from the Library Science Programme under the School of Tribal Heritage and Tribal Indology, KISS Deemed to be University, had an enriching experience at the SCSTRTI Tribal Museum. During their visit, they explored various materials used by the Tribal Community, examined the intricate Tribal houses, and learned about the lifestyle of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs).
The museum’s exhibits beautifully showcased the tribal philosophy and culture, and the audio-visual presentations further enhanced their understanding of the tribal way of life. This exposure visit was instrumental in broadening the students’ knowledge and appreciation of tribal heritage.
The visit was thoughtfully coordinated by Rabin Kumar Khandayatray with the assistance of Namita Raj and Gitanjali Nayak, under the guidance of Dr. Sujata Acharya, Dean of the School of Tribal Heritage and Tribal Indology.
