The Capgemini KISS Digital Academy at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Deemed to be University (KISS-DU), in collaboration with ZYVKA HR Tech Pvt. Ltd and TiE, Bhubaneswar, organized an enlightening Industry Talk session on 26th February 2026 for students enrolled in technology courses at the Academy. The primary aim of this event was to expose students to prevailing industry trends and to guide them towards future career opportunities. Notable speakers included Mr. Manas Behera, Global Delivery Head at a prominent IT services firm, and Mr. Rajesh Kumar Sethi, Software Engineer at an international consulting company. Both speakers thoughtfully recounted their journeys from modest beginnings in Odisha to achieving global success, stressing the significance of resilience and strong foundational values in navigating professional challenges.

The session centered around the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence and the importance of continuous learning. Students were motivated to embrace AI as a valuable tool in their professional journey, particularly through areas such as prompt engineering, rather than perceiving it as a threat to employment prospects. The speakers highlighted the critical need to be proficient in core technical skills like Java, Python, and SQL. Additionally, they explained different career tiers – “Ninja” “Digital” and “Prime”— as found in leading firms such as TCS, thereby helping students formulate clear and achievable professional targets.

The discussion concluded with a strong emphasis on maintaining a growth mindset and effective time management by placing learning ahead of distractions, such as social media. By viewing failures as valuable learning experiences and having confidence in their technical abilities, students were encouraged to bridge the gap between their academic pursuits and the requirements of the global IT industry.

This event was jointly conducted by the School of Indigenous Knowledge, Science and Technology (SIKST), Institutions’ Innovation Council (IIC) of KISS-DU, Centre for Indigenous Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE), and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), KISS-DU.
