On the 24th of September 2024, a debate competition was organized by the NEP SAARTHIs of KISS-DU, in the Academic Building of KISS Deemed to be University.
The debate addressed the thought-provoking and contemporary topic, “Will Artificial Intelligence Ultimately Enhance or Erode Human Creativity and Innovation?”under the guidance of the faculty coordinators Dr. Sujata Acharya, Associate Professor and Dean, School of Tribal Heritage and Tribal Indology (STHTI) and Dr. Ratnaprava Parija, Assistant Professor, English, School of Comparative Tribal Languages and Literatures, KISS-DU.
A total of 13 students actively participated in the competition, showcasing a remarkable depth of knowledge and delivering insightful perspectives on both sides of the argument. The speakers delved into the advantages and potential challenges posed by artificial intelligence, exploring its impact on human creativity and innovation. They discussed how AI could either serve as a tool to amplify human potential or threaten to diminish the role of human ingenuity.
The debate was not just confined to the participants but also drew significant interest from the audience, who engaged actively throughout the event. Their participation added an interactive dimension to the competition, making it even more dynamic.
