The KISS International journal of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Sustainability (KIJEIS) is a peer-reviewed and refereed journal published by KISS Deemed to be University, under the visionary leadership of its honourable founder of Prof. Achyuta Samanta. Aligned with the mission of KISS university that is promoting the inclusive and impactful research, KIJEIS serves as a platform for high-quality, interdisciplinary research with a focus on entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainability.

KISS Deemed to be University has a long legacy of promoting research, publications, seminars and research conference across diverse academic disciplines including science, arts and commerce, with a priority on the socio-economic upliftment of tribal community. Reflecting this commitment, the KIJEIS focuses on research contribution that explore entrepreneurship among the tribal communities grassroot innovation and sustainable development practices.
The journal welcomes original research papers, conceptual papers and case studies that address pressing contemporary issues and advance theoretical, empirical and practical oriented knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainability. Special attention is given to work that deep dive into the indigenous knowledge system, community-driven initiatives and inclusive development models.

By fostering scholarly thinking, dialogues and disseminating impactful scholarly work, the KIJEIS gauges to contribute meaningfully to academic dialogue and policy debates, together nationally and globally.

Submission Guidelines for the authors

Authors are requested to follow the KIJEIS article template and adhere to the common formatting and submission standards outlined below.

Formatting and Structure

  • Title: Bold, font size 12, centered.
  • Author Details: Name, affiliation, and contact details centered on the first page.
  • Font and Spacing: Use Times New Roman, font size 12, 1.5 line spacing. Paragraphs should be justified with no extra spacing before/after.
  • Section Headings: Bold and clearly marked.
  • Tables and Figures: Numbered consecutively throughout the article, regardless of sections.

Abstract and Keywords

  • Abstract: Max 300 words
  • Include 4–5 keywords
  • Begin the main article from the next page after the title and author details

Word Limit

  • Total manuscript (including references and appendices) should not exceed 4000 words

KIJEIS encourages clarity, originality, and relevance in all submissions. Authors should ensure proper citations and academic integrity throughout.

Reference Style and Citations
The journal uses the APA reference style of 7th edition. Please refer to the APA guidelines (https://www.apa.org/practice/guidelines ) to ensure your manuscript meets the formatting requirements.
Each in-text citation must correspond precisely to a reference in the reference list, with matching spelling and publication year.
Authors should update citations of preprints with references to the peer-reviewed published versions once available. Generally, citations to preprints are discouraged unless necessary.

Acknowledgments
If you wish to include an Acknowledgments section, it will appear at the end of your published article. This section should recognize individuals who contributed to the work but do not meet the criteria for authorship.

Ethical Practices

Authors must ensure their work complies with high standards of ethical research and publication integrity. The following declarations are mandatory with each submission:

  • Clearly state whether ethics approval was obtained or not required.
  • If applicable, provide:

  • Indicate if informed consent was obtained from participants.

  • Required if the article contains personal data, images, or videos.
    • Confirm that written informed consent for publication was obtained.
    • Do not submit actual consent forms—retain them securely.
    • You may upload a confirmatory letter with your manuscript.
  • If not applicable, state: “Not applicable.”

Declaration of Conflicting Interest

  • All authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest.
  • If none exist, include the statement:
    “The author(s) declared no potential conflicts of interest with respect to the research, authorship, and/or publication of this article.”

Funding Statement

  • State all sources of funding or explicitly mention if no funding was received.
  • Example: “This research received no specific grant from any funding agency in the public, commercial, or not-for-profit sectors.”

Review Process

KIJEIS is committed to a fair, timely, and high-quality double-anonymous peer review process to uphold the integrity and relevance of all published work.

Step-by-Step Review Process:

  • Initial Editorial Screening
    • Each submission is reviewed by the editor to ensure alignment with the journal’s aim, scope, and formatting standards.
    • Manuscripts may be declined at this stage if they lack quality in content, structure, or language.
  • Peer Review
    • If deemed suitable, the manuscript is sent to at least two independent reviewers under a double-blind review process.
    • Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, contribution, methodology, and clarity.
  • Editorial Decision
  • Based on reviewer feedback and, when needed, consultation with the Editorial Advisory Board, the editor will decide to:
      • Accept the manuscript
      • Request minor or major revisions
      • Accept/Decline
  • Communication and Timeline
    • Authors are typically informed of the first decision within 60 days.
    • Regular status updates are available through the journal’s submission portal.
    • All communications will reference your manuscript ID assigned at submission.
