Bio-Analytical Lab

KISS Science and Technology Innovation Hub for Tribals

(Funded by Department of Science and Technology)

The Biolab serves as the primary scientific anchor and research crucible of the hub, operating at the critical intersection of environmental sustainability, advanced bio-resource utilization, and field-level ecological research. By seamlessly bridging sophisticated academic theory with practical, community-facing applications, this unit spearheads comprehensive environmental impact studies designed to monitor and mitigate ecological degradation.

A core pillar of its research mandate involves tracking the ubiquity, accumulation, and migration pathways of microplastics across diverse habitats, alongside performing detailed baseline analyses of vulnerable local ecosystems. Moving beyond passive observation, the Biolab actively innovates, tests, and deploys practical biological solutions and nature-based interventions. These initiatives are deliberately engineered to elevate public health standards within underserved communities, fortify climate-induced agricultural resilience, and introduce sustainable frameworks for long-term soil, water, and genetic resource conservation.
