A Sensitization Workshop on “Indian Value System: Nari Shakti and Bharat Mata” was successfully organized by the Gender Champions in collaboration with the Centre for Women’s Studies and Gender Sensitization Cell of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Deemed to be University.
The workshop was graced by Dr. Gopal Krishna Panda, Emeritus Professor, KISS-DU, as the distinguished speaker. He highlighted the importance of Nari Shakti as a symbol of women empowerment and Bharat Mata as a representation of national unity and cultural values. He emphasized the importance of gender equality in achieving sustainable and inclusive growth. The speaker also discussed various social, economic, and cultural barriers that hinder equal opportunities and suggested practical measures to overcome these challenges.
The programme was coordinated by the Gender Champions and conducted under the supervision of Dr. Pragyan Mohanty and Dr. Monalisha Mishra, KISS-DU. The event witnessed active participation from students and faculty members, who engaged in meaningful discussions and raised thought-provoking questions during the interactive session. The primary objective of the workshop was to sensitize students about Indian cultural values, gender respect, and the role of women in society. The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the speaker, organizers, and participants for making the event meaningful and successful.
